VIDEO: This is What a Pagani Huayra Sounds Like on the Track

We know many of you have been waiting for a while to get an acoustic flavor of the much-hyped Pagani Huayra, and now, thanks to the recordings of Youtube’s supercar buff, Marchettino, so we'll keep this post short and sweet in the name of expediency.

Marchettino attached a video camera on the rear corner of the Huayra as the supercar made a quick lap around the Adria International Raceway, which is located the Veneto region of Northern Italy. The result? Well, let’s just say that we weren’t exactly thrilled from the sounds of the V12, but keep in mind this may be due to the poor fitting or quality of the camera.

How’s this for a dream job? Britain’s Repairacar is seeking a very special someone who can drive supercars from a customer’s address to one of their repair shops and back. It’s all very glamorous – the opportunity to drive supercars as diverse as Aston Martins, Ferraris and even the occasional Zonda or Bugatti Veyron – though it does include some taking of public transport.

A company spokesperson explains:“[The successful applicant] will also be expected to make their own way back to base from any corner of the UK and Europe – using public transport.”

So what they’re offering are a couple of hours on a bus or train in return for the chance to drive a selection of the world’s greatest supercars? Who could say no? Well, Repairacar, for one. You see, they’re not just looking for any Tom, Dick or Harry:

VIDEO: New Pagani Huayra Filmed at a Small Italian Fair

Just in case you’ve forgotten about the brand-new Pagani Huayra, we’ve got hold of a few new videos for your viewing pleasure. Horacio Pagani’s latest creation was recently spotted on display at the Motori e Sapori, a small county fair that took place in Italy. According to Youtube user Marchetinno, the matte silver car you see here is not the final production model but the PT4, as in Prototype 4, and it will allegedly be used as a testing mule for future special edition versions. Watch the walkaround videos after the break.

Pagani Huayra Live from the Geneva Motor Show, Plus First Promo Videos

It's quite difficult to imagine that the beautiful, spine tingling Pagani Zonda has been around for over ten years. Mr. Horacio Pagani graced our eyes in 1999 with a 7.0 AMG sourced V12 masterpiece with a steampunk style interior. Its beautiful form, angry looks and frightening performance turned it into a modern exotic classic not seen since the earlier years of motoring. But time has come for Pagani to introduce the Zonda's successor in the form of the brand-new Huayra that made its world premiere today at the 2011 Geneva Salon.

When Pagani unleashed the first photos its hypercar named after a South American god of wind, there seemed to be a bit of negative feedback. Many did not enjoy the looks of the wide bottom feeder mouth and oddly set rear tail lights. As with many cases of change, acceptance has seemed to slowly set in. The car looks much better under the radiant spotlights of the Geneva floor.

Pagani Zonda F Driver Survives 199mph - 320 km/h Crash After Spinning Out of Control

There are very few (if any) people that can lose control of their car at 199mph or 320km/h and live another day to tell the tale. But that's exactly what happened to a 28-year-old German driver of a black Pagani Zonda F and his 21-year-old [sic...] Lithuanian passenger, after the young man lost control of the $1.5 million supercar earlier this week on Italy's A10 autostrada.

According to reports from Italy, the driver was going around 320 km/h (198.8 mph) when the car spun out of control hitting a guardrail on the right, losing a wheel, overturning and then colliding with a Mercedes, with which the driver was allegedly racing on the highway. Both the driver and the passenger of the supercar, as well as the driver of the Mercedes, came out unscathed.

Huayray! New Pagani Supercar to be Officially Sold in the United States

We have some pretty good news for Pagani fans with a hefty bank account in the States; the Italian firm is finally entering the U.S. market for the very first time with its new Huayra supercar. The company's previous model, the Zonda, was barred from the U.S. due to emissions restrictions, but that's not the case with the new Huayra.

According to Pagani Automobili's managing director, Francesco Zappacosta, the 700-horsepower exotic supercar will cost around $1.1 million and it’ll be available later this year initially through two select dealers.

Ardalan Farboud’s Pagani Sei Concept: Better than the Huayra?

You may be surprised to learn that the Pagani Huayra isn’t my cup of tea (that’s Anglo-speak for “ I don’t like it”). Conversely, I have a great amount of affection for the Zonda and its limited-run sister, the Zonda F. The Huayra seems more Spyker-lookalike than Enzo-killer, which many would agree was the first generation Z’s raison d’être.

I also like Ardalan Farboud’s Pagani Sei design study. It has the sort of unfussy slickness that the Zonda had and the Huayra lacks, while staying true to the brand’s tenets of being lithe, fast and using gratuitous amounts of carbon fibre. Farboud, a recent graduate from Coventry University’s Master of Design course, produced the Sei as part of his final year project.

New Pagani Huayra Roadster Imagined

A lot of things still remain unknown about the new Pagani Huayra, but if the outgoing Zonda is anything to go by, it's almost certain that the company will eventually expand the supercar's range with special editions, Clubsport models and of course, a roadster version. Teamspeed forum resident and photoshop specialist Wild-Speed, who you may remember from his recent work on the 2013 Porsche Cajun 3-door SUV, has now made use of his talents to chop the roof off the Huayra Coupe and provide us with a glimpse of what a future roadster variant might look like. First Video of Pagani's Huayra Gullwing Supercar, Hear the 700+HP V12

It's been less than 24-hours since Pagani released the first photos of its new Huayra, yet we have the first video of the supercar, courtesy of EVO magazine that was invited to the firm's headquarters for a sneak peek. The short clip provides a quick walk around as well as an inside view of the car and, in a rather surreal moment, the Mercedes AMG-sourced 700+ horsepower V12 coming to life and scaring a German Sheppard. Watch the video after the break.

The Zonda is Dead. Long Live the New Pagani Huayra! Official Photos and Details of 700HP Supercar

After a series of leaked magazine shots hit the internet this past weekend, Pagani today officially released its new Huayra supercar model in a rather anticlimactic way. Designed to replace the much-hyped Zonda series, Horacio Pagano's newest creation is named after the Andean god of wind, Aymara Huayra Tata.

The Huayra has a somewhat softer styling and isn't as raw as the Zonda, but the two models do share a similar silhouette. As always, design is a matter of personal taste, so feel free to express your opinion about the car's styling in our comments section below.

Pagani's newcomer also gets a pair of swooping gullwing doors which introduce the driver and passenger to a truly bespoke interior with some impressive details such as the exposed gear selector.

Leaked Magazine Shots Overshadow Fourth Pagani C9 Video Teaser

Only a few hours after Pagani released the fourth teaser of the upcoming supercar codenamed C9 – and dubbed Huayra by an increasing number of sources –, a set of allegedly official magazine scans surfaced online. The pictures are said to be sourced from the upcoming February edition of the Spanish-language Car Magazine, featuring several shots of Horacio Pagani's new supercar.

VIDEO: Pagani Teases the Exterior of its Upcoming C9 Supercar

For the third week in a row, Pagani is teasing its upcoming C9 supercar. Compared to the previous videos, the literally dark atmosphere of the clip makes it harder for the viewer to discern the details of the curvaceous body, including the tail lights, exhaust tips and front bumper. An added bonus is a clearer shot of the steering wheel and instrument panel. Hit the jump to watch the teaser and screenshots.

SCOOP: New Pagani C9 Supercar Filmed Around the Factory

While Pagani is testing our nerves with its shadowy teaser videos, Youtube user 'Marchettino' caught the Italian supercar on test in its homeland. The first clean-sheet design Pagani in years, which is currently known by its C9 codename, is pegged for a debut at the Geneva Salon in March. The gullwing-door supercar will be powered by a new 6.0-liter bi-turbocharged V12 sourced from Mercedes-Benz's AMG division, tuned to deliver somewhere around 700 horsepower and over 1,000 Nm or 738 lb-ft of peak torque. Video follows after the jump.

VIDEO: Second Pagani C9 Teaser Shows Interior Details

We didn’t have to wait long for the second teaser of the Pagani C9 to be released and, fortunately, this time it’s more about the car than some presumably good Italian coffee. The clip shows some of the interior’s highlights. Amidst the symphony of exposed metal parts and high quality leather, we could make out a Ferrari 458 Italia-style steering wheel, with all sorts of switches (including index controls), and the engine key featured in the first teaser. Video and screenshots available after the jump.

VIDEO: Pagani C9 Teaser Shows Scale Model with Engine Key

One would expect an action-filled teaser for a supercar like the upcoming Pagani C9, which will replace the aging Zonda, but the Italian maker approached the task in a more laid-back manner, choosing to show us a man enjoying some coffee and the written news. And then, at the end of the clip, he picks up something that resembles a scale model of the new supercar incorporating what appears to be the engine key. Now, is this the best way to start your day or what? Video after the jump.

VIDEO: Making of the Real Life Lamborghini Police Car vs Pagani Zonda Film

With modern day racing video games blurring the lines between virtuality and reality, it's no wonder some readers mistook last Friday's Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Trailer featuring a Police-livered Lamborghini Murcielago and a Pagani Zonda for a very well executed CGI when in fact it was a real-life film (see it here). If you still have doubts, then follow the jump to watch the video and get behind the scenes of the live-action shoot out.

Live Action Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Trailer with Pagani vs Lamborghini [VIDEO]

Live action game trailers are nothing new. It's an easy way for developers to tease their upcoming titles without having to reveal any actual graphics or gameplay. Recent examples of this include Resident Evil 5 and Halo 3: ODST.

So there's a new trailer out for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, the latest in the NFS series and the third Hot Pursuit title. However, this trailer comes with something special: a spectacular live action realisation of the chase from the E3 reveal trailer.

In the original trailer, we see an epic chase whereby a Koenigsegg CCX, Pagani Zonda Cinque and McLaren MP4-12C are pursued by two Ford Shelby GT500s, a Bugatti Veyron, a Lamborghini Murciélago and a Bell 206 helicopter. This is all realized (presumably) with the in-game engine and is pretty sweet in itself.

Simbol Design Lavazza GTX-R is a Ferrari Enzo Wannabe with a BMW V12

Let's face it: buying a supercar is hard. They're expensive, they're hard to insure and if you crash one you're bound to see it posted on ellena formelent. So what do you do if you crave the supercar looks but can't stomach the supercar hang-ups? You buy an Italian knockoff, that's what.

This here is the Lavazza GTX-R and yes, it does look a lot like a Ferrari Enzo (with a pinch of Pagani) if you squint...and are drunk...and are wearing sunglasses...at night. Ahem.

If you read the Italian version of the site, power comes from a BMW-sourced 5.4-liter V12 producing 489HP that can accelerate the GTX-R from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in just 4.3 seconds. However, the English-language page makes word of the same V12 with 620HP but a 0-100km/h sprint time of 4.6 seconds. Go figure...

VIDEO: Tiff Needell gets his Hands on the Pagani Zonda R

Ever wonder what it's like to be an automotive journalist? Well, for a select few, there are times when it can be (very) rewarding. See, not many journalists will have the chance to get their hands on a Pagani Zonda R. On the other hand, few are as qualified as Fifth Gear co-host Tiff Needell to justify such a pricey loan and this video stands as a testimony to that.

So, after delighting your eyes with the awesome commercial and remembering why you adore the Zonda R, take a look at Needell running the Italian supercar through its paces.
